I’m writing this post to tell you about a worthwhile project I’m involved in that uses theatre in an attempt to address the homeless crisis in Los Angeles. The project is called “Homeward LA.”
It is a ten-day citywide event where multiple productions of monologues (based upon stories from people who have been homeless) are performed all over Los Angeles, bringing attention to the homeless crisis and raising funds for The Midnight Mission, an amazing nonprofit organization for Skid Row.
While I may not be acting in this particular event, I am Stage Managing two nights of performances, which are intended to inspire our city to come together to end homelessness. I cannot express how much it means to be a part of something that is making a real difference in our community.
I want to invite you to support the project. It would mean a lot to me, as well as the people it will help.
The productions I’m involved in take place May 4th at 2pm and May 5th at 8pm at the Open Fist Theatre in Atwater Village (The Atwater Village Theatre).

If you can’t make the show for any reason, but would still like to take the opportunity to donate, you can do so through the same website.
Thank you so much –
I hope to see you there.
